The other night I saw William Close play the Earth Harp on the Semifinals of America's Got Talent and I was blown away by his creativity and talent. Now, the show usually has some unique talent that is pretty good, but he was outstanding.

William makes his instruments and transforms auditoriums or outdoor spaces, into a giant 'Earth Harp" which can extend up to 1,000 feet in length. He proceeds to play modern and classical songs by stroking the strings with gloved hands coated in resin.

My favorite band of all times is U2. I have followed them since I was in elementary school, through junior high, into high school, through college, and to the present day. It is interesting how they re-invent themselves to set new trends of the times. When they hit the music scene, they took America by storm and their popularity rose – they never looked back!
U2 definitely has Otterocity. They show a unique individuality in their music. They have creativity in developing different styles through their latest albums. And most of all, they have fun doing their passion!
It is interesting to see them develop and change throughout the ages!

When you think of modern day music played on classical instruments your mind goes right to elevator music. I think of a bad rendition of Bon Jovi on the violin, or Metallica on the flute. But then I heard of Sulic & Hauser and they totally changed my mind that modern day hits could be played really well on classical instruments.
You be the judge:

Coldplay's new music video for Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall shows their unique creativity as well as their joyful spirit. It looked like they had a lot of fun putting together this paint-infused, neon-glowing music video. This song has a good beat, excellent guitar riffs, and great lyrics.

Another great video I enjoy, and is a lot of fun, is Strawberry Swing It is absolutely brilliant how they made this video on a black background with chalk drawings.

The American alternative rock band, Young the Giant plays their music with Otterocity! I first learned of this band while listening to 93.3 KTCL out of Denver. When I heard their unique sound and interesting style I looked them up on YouTube and found several music videos featuring songs from their eponymous debut album. Their melodic rock changes with each song, showing the diverse nature of their precision, guitars and vocals.

Learn more about Young the Giant at:
"My Body" is full of beat with thumping bass, Celtic sounding drums, and rip-roaring guitars.
