Album Art from the offical Muse website
The British Rock band Muse has released their sixth album titled, The 2nd Law. It infuses various styles (Alternative rock, new progressive rock, space rock, symphonic rock, and progressive metal) from their previous five albums which show their creativity and fun nature.
Creativity and fun are two qualities of otters, which are the qualities I appreciate in their music and their videos. Each song they create is different is some way, yet they have similar characteristics (the strong bass beats, the insane guitar rifts, the melodic voice of Matthsew Bellamy) that carry throughout their music. Their music videos are creative and have a fun nature to them.
Please enjoy:

The other night I saw William Close play the Earth Harp on the Semifinals of America's Got Talent and I was blown away by his creativity and talent. Now, the show usually has some unique talent that is pretty good, but he was outstanding.

William makes his instruments and transforms auditoriums or outdoor spaces, into a giant 'Earth Harp" which can extend up to 1,000 feet in length. He proceeds to play modern and classical songs by stroking the strings with gloved hands coated in resin.

My favorite band of all times is U2. I have followed them since I was in elementary school, through junior high, into high school, through college, and to the present day. It is interesting how they re-invent themselves to set new trends of the times. When they hit the music scene, they took America by storm and their popularity rose – they never looked back!
U2 definitely has Otterocity. They show a unique individuality in their music. They have creativity in developing different styles through their latest albums. And most of all, they have fun doing their passion!
It is interesting to see them develop and change throughout the ages!

One way to keep Otterocity (A Joyful Spirit) in your life is to listen to music that moves you and motivates you. I am the type of person that is affected by music. There are many people out there that are too. If there is a event that happens that changes my mood, I pop onto Youtube and listen to a song that instantly changes my mood. When I am writing I listen to music and I seem to get in the flow better.

One group I listen to is Snow Patrol. About ten years ago I asked my Brother-in-law, who lives in England, what up and coming bands he knew of that were breaking out. He mentioned Snow Patrol. I looked them up and ordered their CD. I instantly liked them. Ten years, and several albums later Snow Patrol has emerged as a popular American group singing a variety of songs that have appeared on several large motion picture soundtracks.
I enjoy his melodic voice and great tone. Their beats vary with each song and more often than not, they sing great love songs. here is In The End from their new album.

Here is a song from many years ago. When I need a laugh I play it and really listen to the words. They always get a chuckle, especially at the end of the song.

IF YOU NEED A LAUGH LISTEN TO:
SHE DON'T USE JELLY
By The Flaming Lips
I was listening to 93.3 KTLC the other day and this song came on during their 'Throwback Lunch.' They play songs from the 80's and 90's. it is cool because songs come on you haven't heard in a long time. "She Don't Use Jelly' is one I have not heard in like, FOREVER! I liked its quirky nature, when it came out--way back when. There are those songs that are just different and have funny lyrics. This is one of them.
If you need a luagh, just listen to this song and you will be guaranteed one!

When you think of modern day music played on classical instruments your mind goes right to elevator music. I think of a bad rendition of Bon Jovi on the violin, or Metallica on the flute. But then I heard of Sulic & Hauser and they totally changed my mind that modern day hits could be played really well on classical instruments.
You be the judge:

Coldplay's new music video for Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall shows their unique creativity as well as their joyful spirit. It looked like they had a lot of fun putting together this paint-infused, neon-glowing music video. This song has a good beat, excellent guitar riffs, and great lyrics.

Another great video I enjoy, and is a lot of fun, is Strawberry Swing It is absolutely brilliant how they made this video on a black background with chalk drawings.

The American alternative rock band, Young the Giant plays their music with Otterocity! I first learned of this band while listening to 93.3 KTCL out of Denver. When I heard their unique sound and interesting style I looked them up on YouTube and found several music videos featuring songs from their eponymous debut album. Their melodic rock changes with each song, showing the diverse nature of their precision, guitars and vocals.

Learn more about Young the Giant at:
"My Body" is full of beat with thumping bass, Celtic sounding drums, and rip-roaring guitars.
